Selling Gold watches & Gold Pocket watches
We are able to process any type of watch which contains gold, silver, platinum or palladium. Whilst we do not buy gold-plated items, we have the facility here to process any type of watch which precious metal.
When selling gold watches please be aware that certain components of your watch will be non-gold, these include items such as the glass screen that protects your watch workings, your watch face and hands, your watch working and sometimes parts of the watch clasps. From item to item the weight of your non-gold watch components will change depending on the size of your watch, make and watch model.
We remove the non-gold parts of your watch
To ensure that we process your job as accurately we will remove the non-gold components of your watch, this means that your watch will be dismantled and we use filing and acid testing to test your gold. As we are a scrap gold company, once your watch has been taken apart to give you the true valuation, we are unfortunately unable to put your item back together and we are unable to guarantee that your non-gold watch workings will not be destroyed as part of our testing process.
When estimating the value of your watch we advise you to deduct for your non-gold workings allowing your quote to be as accurate as possible or simply enter the total weight of your watch and we will accurately value your gold.
