If you are looking to sell a large quantity of high carat un-hallmarked gold jewellery, we will usually be able to test this with our XRF Anaylsis machines, however, in some instance we may need to melt your items. Our melt process is done on site in our fully equipped melting lab and provide us the most accurate assessmen of the metal purity. If your items do require a melt, rest assured there is no charge for this, and we commit to making a same-day payment guarantee.

How will my jewellery be tested?

We use acid testing and filing, which involves filing into the item to scratch the surface, and appling a dab of acid to the metal. This is one of the oldest and most reliable initial testing of the major carats that most jewellery is manufactured in. The acid reactions will confirm 9ct, 14ct, 18ct, 22ct. All our counter staff are trained to be experts in gold buying, this is their profession and they are arguably the best in the business at what they do. However, we also home some of the best technical equipment for testing metal, including XRF analysis and full assay ability. Please note we do not value stones and all stones that are left in your jewellery will be removed and could leave your item broken. Under no circumstances is it possible to get these stones returned. Selling jewellery from a Bankruptcy, Probate or Trust

If you are an executor of an estate and are looking to release gold we are able to process your sale in a smooth and efficient manner. We will ask that the Company releasing the asset completes a trade account form. We are able to transfer funds into a client account with a same day payment. When coming to sell an item in our store you must bring with you a form of photographic ID such as a Driving License or Passport, without this we will not be able to process your transaction. If you are bringing a photo ID without your address on (such as your passport), we may also need to see proof of address.
